Did the job as fitting flooring under sink unit so the gap in the pipework was to large, so used this to rectify the issue, worked perfectly

Excellent replacement bottle trap which can nullify any changes in height caused by new fittings thereby future-proofing the sink.
On fitting, the bowl leaked profusely. Tightened it up but it was no better. On inspection there was no 70mm seal fitted and nothing in the bag. Had to use the old seal from bottle trap being replaced.
Replaced a basin waste with a slightly smaller one. The resultant misalignment of waste pipework was easily fixed with the easily fitted telescopic P trap.
Absolutely useless .I had 2 of these and both don’t seal correctly .I’m a bathroom and kitchen fitted so I’ve used hundreds but these use the wrong plastic nut as it’s too big and slips at an angle when tight on the metal waste
I used a floplas from the local rival and that was Miles better than this viva one .better still go with MacAlpine if in stock
Telescopic bottle trap is ideal if you change your waste. Mine was about 1½ inches short to connect so I bought this and was perfect. Just slide it up and then tighten it.

Good traps much cheaper than the named ones, only thing is I find you have to ptfe the thread to ensure that they do not leak, then no problems
Not understanding why people think that this isn’t all that good. Mine was great. Just make sure everything is hand tight. Mine took longer to pick up, than to put in, and my toolstation is only five minutes away.
Telescopic trap is useful, unfortunately the bowl thread was damaged and it leaked, did not return it as I needed it. Managed to seal with ptfe.
