Given that on the same page there are two illustrations of a Roddable Gully Riser, both by Aquaflow and with different catalogue numbers, one would hope that one is a 110mm riser, and the other a 160mm riser.NO!!! It would seem that due to some convoluted reason/error in the past, BOTH are 160mm risers. A bit silly, and a bit pointless. It would be far more helpful if one were a 110mm riser, which Aquaflow do produce, and the other a 160mm riser.
I tried to raise this anomaly with Toolstation via the contact page (useless) and via chat (It was assumed that my question had been answered when it had not!)
Come on Toolstation, rise(r) to the occasion and give us a choice of both 110mm and 160mm risers.
The service we received was very friendly and efficient with all our requirements met.
Good quality and does what it should. Easy to use.
Two versions of this gulley extension. One for the big square gulley and one for the small round gulley. Not interchangeable so beware. Square gulley extender connects well, round one is terrible.
This item is not suitable for normal 160mm systems. Ir seems only fit for the very specific purpose of raising the gully sold by Toolstation and refitting the ROUND hopper grid on top. Although the base (male end) of these risers is indeed 160mm the top (socket end) is slightly over 160mm to about 15mm deep, then slightly under 160mm for about another 80mm. If you are thinking of using this to raise/extend a 160mm gully and fit a 160mm hopper (or any other 160mm fitting) on top then this will not work. Note also that there are two listings for these on Toolstation. Having purchased some with the intention of extending my 160mm gullies as I raised ground levels, only to find that they did not work, I read the reviews for both listings and one review stated that the items were different. I therefore purchased (delivery only - these are not stocked) some of the other stock number, only to find that these were exactly the same part.
So - to reiterate, if you want to simply extend a 160mm system these will not fit. The part you need is stocked by a similar shop usually very close to Toolstations - I could not even find the part I wanted in merchants.
Hopefully Toolstation will clarify the listings for these but, other than the frustration it caused me, I cannot fault my local branch, who graciously accepted a return of all of the risers I had bought, even although the first batch had been a few weeks earlier.
There are 2 risers with the exact same title on toolstation, they fit 110mm gully’s but they only fit in the neck so they are 160mm, the difference between the two risers is internally, one has about 25mm stop on the inside and the other much longer as it fits the drain top (think it’s called a hopper) which is taken out of the gully to allow the riser to fit. So check inside the riser to see if suitable as from the outside they are identical
