Stylish efficient reliable easy to install. would recommend
Easy change over. No alteration to pipework or wiring needed. Saving time and hassle.Good value shower.
Simple no fuss shower, easy to install, and works a treat.
I don't think this is an easy fit. This is one isn't a direct replacement for T80 Easi-fit none thermostatic. It won't fit on the same spot. You have to shift it to the left about 50mm or to the right 80mm. If your existing one is closer than 50mm to the left wall, this won't fit, and less than 80mm to the right wall, respectively.
It's great to get if you are replacing an existing shower because it has several points of entry for both electric and water. Side left or right, under or over, and points from behind the shower. So, whatever you current arrangement on your wall with the old shower, there's a good chance adapting it to this new shower will be straightforward.
You don't get screws or plugs to fix the shower up, so you need to factor that in. Oddly they do supply the screws for the shower rail.
You'll need a new 15mm olive, and probably a new 15mm nut to go into your existing compression joint. My old olive on my old shower wouldn't budge which meant I couldn't get the existing nut off. So beware that might happen to you.
They emphasise you must commision the unit, which will purge any trapped air. Don't skip that.
So, the shower looks great and reasonably easy to fit.
However. The rail doesn't give the feel of quality. Make sure your screw holes are perfectly spaced, or it gets fiddly to fit. The shower is going to last many years. I'm not so sure the rail will though.
Overall, the most important part is the shower. And i think its great
The shower works fine but drops a star because the soap dish is a bit clumsy; it's fixed rigidly cantilevered from the wall (it forms an unavoidable part of the vertical rail fixing) and doesn't swivel out of the way if it gets touched; it looks vulnerable to damage. I think Triton have done to reduce costs and reduce the part count, but it's NOT a very elegant solution, especially in shower cubicles where space it tight.
Tool station tried to sell me a second-hand/used shower. Took it back and they tried to replace it with another one with the security seal broken. Third one had the seal broken and resealed. Be very aware.
This product was very easy to plumb and fit. There were no instructions in the box however there was QR code to scan and visit a you tube site that gave instructions of the similar models. Temperature is not consistent on these.
Great shower really easy to fit and looks amazing ..
Took a bit of time to drill new holes as they did not align with old Triton
Unfortunately I cannot leave a zero rating otherwise I would. The first Triton T80 shower was fitted but it didn,t keep a constant temp. It was all over the place, and not because anyone else was using water elsewhere. It just went cold and then hot etc. I returned the shower and the guys at Toolstation were very apologetic and swapped it for an identical T80. After having that one fitted it leaked water from somewhere near to the main heating tank. Nothing to do with the water supply fittings. By now, and 3 visits from our plumber, we decided to go for a Mira shower, ( which is what the plumber originally suggested ).
The Toolstation staff were again apologetic, and wished me luck with the Mira. Which was cheaper than the Triton by the way. Up to now and fingers still crossed, all is ok. Strange that no one commented on the fact that I had to pay extra to get the plumbing sorted 3 times!
I will not be recommending Triton showers to friends in the future.
Excellent service and staff very helpfull as i had to return a faulty shower heater
The water inlet is horizontal in the shower but no pushfit will fit as the inlet stub is not long enough, has to be a sharp 90 compression if pipe incoming from the top or pipe wont sit inside the moulded cutout.
It was fed from a high pressurised line 2bar and it would cut heater out as water could not get out the head fast enough. Well at least thats what triton helpline said. Put pressure regulator in line now sorted but lost some of the flow.
Great shower for the price. Simple installation, lots of fitting options. Decent pressure.
It fits so easily and covers all the old fixings, the water is a good flow at temperature even in the cold weather when the supply is colder than normal
I'm sure the shower would have been fine but when I went to fit it it was obvious that it had already been used, the outside was smeared in plumbers putty and the water connection was mangled where someone had removed an olive. The guy at the desk when I returned it didn't seem surprised and said it would probably go back on the shelf for the next customer. As its a bank holiday weekend and with the Royal Mail strikes its going to be at least three days to get a replacement. My customer is not happy, I'm not happy and the store couldn't offer a discount to cover the inconvenience.
Had shower fitted and it has since broken, and will have to be returned
Different set up from the one i bought last time although same make & model
