Absolutely brilliant product.
Excellent bit of kit. I used the jig for a lot of internal doors in my recent project using Howdens (eclipse) latches and it was a perfect fit including the round mortice jig. I had 3 deadbolt thumb turns to do and they are a slightly different size (not in the kit) trend had a perfect jig match from their online shop £9
I then did a Era 5 lever lock and again perfect
I’m using the festool 1400 it has extra long stroke so does the 1/4 inch face plate work and 1/2 inch collet for mortice. I ground a little of the bottom of the festool 30mm bush and works perfect. Can’t recommend enough.
I bought this based on the reviews but after using it I waa slightly disappointed, firstly there was no template for the latch body, and 90% of the latches I've fitted so far don't match any of the supplied templates, (most of the howdens latches) the other issue is that for it to work properly you need to buy the trend 30mm guide Bush as the dewalt one I have is too deep and doesn't allow one side of the cut on a standard door width, this means after spending £100 on the jig you have to buy a £10 Bush guide and a £30 Bush guide adaptor to adapt trend to dewalt (not that they have them in stock at all)
It has potential to better
