not great it struggled but it was oak i was using i havent tried it on softwood
Poor quality burnt out after 2 plug cuts on solid oak
dont work on oak- tried to cuit plugs in green oak-took 30mins for one plug
Works alright on soft wood but its terrible on hardwood just starts a fire with the amount of burning cuz it doesn't cut im gonna need to sharpen them before I actually use it on some decorative work, but I can't grumble as it was only 10 quid
I used in a pillar drill so was good and steady, within seconds it started smoking and just burnt its way in with a cloud of smoke. Cleaned up the cutter but was not even remotely sharp, tried again and was useless and a waste of money, clunk, in the bin.
Don’t cut hard wood well even at low speed and generate a lot of heat.
Great they are sharp and do great job plug cutters
First cut was OK then after that was a bit of a struggle but besides that not bad probably spend a bit more money and upgrade

not good quality and not great results, would not buy.
No rake angle on cutting edge and not de-burred, burnt the wood when trying to do the job.

The smaller bits worked fine but the larger pieces burnt the wood
They work a treat, verry sharp and give a perfect cut
worked ok, first one so i can’t compare really. smoked a bit in oak.
Did the trick for finishing off the job I was working on
Didn’t get on with these, needed to cut oak pellets from season oak cladding.
Found they burnt the timber if to fast, but took to long if done slowly and even the discoloured the timber.
Maybe ok on softwood?
I agree with other reviewers, this is a low quality product - you get what you pay for. I had to remove some burrs before use. I used these to make a few oak plugs. I found that the wood did burn but with more pressure applied the bit cut better. I used the bit in a router 1/4” collet set to the lowest speed.
Can save a lot of money on plugs when you just make your own
good clean cut ,plugs a nice size to use .Very pleased .
