I needed to drill a large hole in plastic board and this was perfect. Have not used it for drilling into wood or metal but it feels substantial and looks up to the job.

Bought this taper drill to cut 12mm holes in 3mm mild steel using a standard cordless power drill. This bit is superb and made very short work of cutting 6 holes and afterwards showed no sign of wear or tear. Hence I’d recommend it but if you are wanting to cut steel thicker than 3 to 5 mm then you may want to consider alternative options
Simple to use and did the job perfectly I used it to increase the hole diameter of an existing hole in a wall mounted smart board.

Worked very well on a fiberglass panel that needed fuse holder holes made, used a pilot drill then it was easy to cut the hole to the required size.
Needed to make holes in 4mm angles. Couldn't get through step 4 for even one hole. Useless
Good item drilled through very thick metal surprised me how easy it worked
