We had a fault that i couldn't diagnose so as a quick fault find i was looking for a plug tester. The only company that had one n stock was tool station so purchased and used to isolate the fault. In fact the electrician we used had to use this device on the exterior weatherproof sockets as his larger tester didnt fit. Overall very satisfied with the product and toolstations stock holding.
It immediately detected a closed neutral fault in a wall socket that was causing problems.
Handy for checking if a socket is live. Doesn't take up much room in my tool bag.

I only bought it because it was discounted to £5 otherwise I wouldn't have because it has no audible sound (which is super useful when you're at the board working out which circuit you need to switch off) but for the price, it's a sturdy basic plug tester

Purchased this to check the rewiring on some domestic sockets in the house. It helped me to identify a loose connection on the rear of one of the sockets. I just needed to reposition the wire, tighten it and retest. All good.
