Good price but this shows with quality. It works but i would not trust it entirely. Seems to give false readings occasionally which meant i had to double check each use. Maybe not the best thing to be doing around electricity.
Gave some false readings, lit up on my wife's slippers...
Although these appear to be false positives, rather than false negatives.
Worked really well at home. Worth every penny. Good buy. Would recommend.
Good to used to in a pinch and helped pinpoint where the electric stopped on a ceiling light that had a hidden switch in the body. Perfect as long as you understand the limitations of these devices compared to a multimeter.

Does exactly what is described, ienon contact voltage detector. Need to get used to this as is slightly different to other voltage detectors I've used, but I am happy with it and would recommend it
Bought as a spare, it does work but I’m not sure I trust it 100%, I also have a LAP volt checker and that picked up a live feed which this didn’t!
Easy to use and it works. You still need to use common sense as it's not a full tester.
Used a few times, seems to work ok, needs to be pretty close to the wire. Not sure if that is just this one, or this type of tool in general.
Ok for basic 240VAC live. Not good for detecting lower mains voltages or chopped /
PWM controlled lines. Also it undesirably picks up on static voltage if you swipe the detector across some plastics for example. I would never rely on a not contact device to check for safety and this one demonstrates exactly why you should not.
Great value for money non contact electrical contact device. Don't forget to test it on a known source prior to setting out to work. I check it every time just to be sure,. Test twice use once is a good moto.

Waste of money unfortunately.
Before using it to check the cable I bought it for I tried it on various known live cables, kettle, toaster, table lamp. All perfectly good flexes. It was intermittent on all 3 and probably only detected power on less than a third of each cable.
It came with batteries so I replaced them but it was exactly the same. I have no confidence this will be reliable but for the price couldn’t be bothered returning it.

Essential tool to detect live conductors. Actually detects much lower voltage than quoted.
Great little piece of kit for the price. I can’t see the point of spending any more for something that’s going to do the same thing
Ideal pocket hanger, it doesn't actually locate electric current in a wall but very handy and good for tracking current in any plug and switches
