Side inlet valve was replaced with the his super easy to fit , small and compact
Nearly same as concealed system one. Phoned Dudley twice and they weren't helpful. Anyway, only slight difference and worked OK

Excellent valve, allows full flow fast fill and sharp cut off. Significantly better than a regular float valve.

Salisbury only had the one unit in stock but it was pointed out that the box had been opened. upon closer inspection the threaded rod from the float to the valve had snapped off. I said I would take it on condition I could return it, if necessary, once a new unit was in stock. As I was in urgent need over the w/e I managed to carry out a repair. A discount would be appreciated for a sub-standard component.
Great bit of kit to replace a valve in a concealed cistern. I had to use a large o-ring with one of the supplied nuts to firmly attach valve to the bracket though. Much improved valve float arrangement that works really well.
Five star rating ., except I bought two , one from Roath and one from llanishen branch of toolstation one of the valves is miissing a piece of plastic onthe piece that the adjuster threads through and hence doesnt close the valve , so Im in a quandary, which branch do I return it too .

I did not need to use the inlet valve as there were other problems and we ended up having to replace the complete cistern. However my dealings with ToolStation were first class from supplying the valve to giving me an instant refund when I took it back.
Good product dose what it should was a change out like for like so only time will tell noe
A well made, very compact, product with sophisticated features, but be aware of water pressure.
According to the Thomas Dudley website this is suitable for pressures down to 0.1 bar (1 metre of water head) and this is our situation. Filling was, however, very slow, with the cistern taking 4.5 minutes to fill compared to just under 2.5 minutes with a Torbeck valve.
Worked perfectly and easy to install But ..... it would be great if there would of been a dimension or two so I could check in advance it would fit!! . Side entry valves are quite often fitted tightly to the rear of the cistern and might not of fitted.
This was purchased to replace another manufacturers valve which had begun to leak, but was 18 years old!
Selection and collection of the valve was easy. Fitting of the valve was also straightforward. Just one point of note, no fixing instructions were included in the box. I am not sure if I was unlucky or this is a positive decision not to print and include. Instructions were available on the website. I did download and print as they give useful maintenance advice.
So far so good and valve is working well.
This was a replacement for a similar but not identical one, it fitted perfectly but did not have a silencer like the old one, however it is not too noisy. Easy to fit.
Great little inlet valve, very compact and good quality with a brass inlet
Easy to fit, works well. Not a silent fill, but I wanted that because I then know when the tank has refilled, ready for the next flush. Replaced a faulty one and saved me over a hundred pounds off my water bill this six months.
