Does the job, was easy to score then split the glass.
It works ok. I have to keep sharpening it, the tip is not very hard
I am sure the TCT Scriber & Glass Cutter works? After all it is only a hardened tip. I however need practice on 'splitting' glass. As several attempts only resulted in a lot of shards for the bin. :(
Useful scribe for marking up metalwork as well as cutting glass and tiles with handy pocket clip.
Very handy tool. I used it for scoring tiles to stop break out on my diamond wet cut saw. Works fine but will use it as a scribe on my engineering projects
Good for the price, the useful pocket clip makes it easy to keep to hand when eg. repairing leaded panes. The solid metal shaft is heavy enough to ensure accurate cutting of curves etc, and unlike most wheeled cutters you can see the scribe point at all times.
Inexpensive tungsten tipped scribe. I use them for scribing lines on stone, they won't last long with heavy use and you cant really re sharpen them but at the price point they're fine and easily available.
Simply does the job. I used it for marking and cutting tiles and it was superb.
Nib was broken so can’t really comment, seemingly good quality though otherwise
Handy toy for marking out hinges and iron mongery what not..
A monumental disappointment that will reverberate through the ages. Buy this if you hate tiles and love buying things that don’t work very well.
Good for ceramic tiles. There is a knack to using a scribe. A couple of passes is better than dragging it with pressure.
Also good for marking ceramic tiles before drilling with a standard masonry bit.
Very nicely made and with a handy pen clip.
Nice tool but doesn’t scratch glass very well so poor performance.
Maybe the glass I was using was too think for this tool, but it needed multiple scorings if the surface was to be marked. Making a clean cut/break was difficult to achieve. Perhaps someone more skilled would have had more success.
Good tool and quality for price. Recommend you practice on some old glass first and top tip: scribe on both sides of the glass for a clean break.
