Received a month ago. Ladder is showing faults after 4th use. As per T&Cs returns have to go through the supplier TB Davis not Toolstation. I have to wait for a courier to collect, for them to receive the item back, inspect it then issue a replacement or fix. This could take a couple of weeks. They will not offer a return once fault decision made only replacement so that rules out me buying another ladder for the meantime. I will have to rearrange work for next week now that I do not have a ladder. In future I will only purchase products supplied directly by Toolstation.
Bought this ladder for a home diy painting job. Working in a hallway stairway with over a 4 meter high ceiling. I didn’t feel comfortable at that height on my old ladder. Too rickety. But this ladder is ace. Very sturdy and secure and easy to use even for non professionals. Well worth the money as it is built robustly and should last many many years. Oh and the standoff at the top is great and also doesn’t mark your walls. Perfect when painting at height. Can extend to full height in limited space too as you extend from the top. Highly recommend.
I've been using telescopic ladders for many years, but this set is the best quaulity unit that I've used.
Very sturdy ladder that is easy to store/transport and extend as far as I want to climb! Soft close is a nice feature as is the padded carry handle and auto-extending wide feet
Having had extending ladders before, this one out performs all the others by its strong sturdy construction, with little to no flex when climbing, and the extra wide automatic stabiliser feet that pop out when being extended, makes this even more secure when being climbed.
This ladder is over 3 mtrs long, and shrinks down to a small enough length to be portable, and easy to store in a van.
This ladder is a little heavier than previous versions owned before, but can still be carried one handed, it has a convenient padded handle for carrying, and the straps secure the ladder in a closed position, the extending stabiliser feet can be retracted once the ladder is collapsed.
I have found it easy to set up, even when not requiring full length, it is very stable.
The ladder has built in stand off blocks on the top rungs, these are rubber and do not mark the wall.
Finally, when closing this ladder it does not just drop like a brick, i have often had to assist it closing, it will close sequentially, from the bottom rung upwards and only when the first rung is completely closed, the next will then close, until it has fully lowered, this soft close system works very well, my last one started out slow, but within a week it would just drop like a stone, after a couple of weeks use this is still slow closing, even when soaking wet from rain, got caught up the ladder in a torrential rain storm, once the job was complete, i climbed down and lowered the ladder, it had to be helped, i will be getting another ladder soon to compliment this one, perhaps a shorter version, or see if they have a longer one, although i dont usually go much more than 3.8mtrs , there will be a time when it might be required, better to have than not, hireing a ladder for a single job is a pain, and not cost effective.
I would thoroughly recommend this ladder to anyone needing a ladder that is compact, and sturdy.
I ordered this item 3 days ago for delivery, and already using it today, it is super stable, solid, easy to set up, but most of all, the quality is so much better than other manufacturers products. With automatic extending feet this ladder is that bit more safe at height because the load is bring spread over a wider area, at full height 3.8mtrs, it is still more rigid than my triple extension ladder, the soft close makes closing it much safer, and you are much less likely to trap fingers, unlike my old one, which dropped so fast you had to be switched on to close it, this extend and climb ladder is by far the best I have used in 40+ years of being an electrician, although it is slightly longer in closed position than my old ladder, it is in fact easier to carry, and store, with large tube design it is strong and has barely any flex when climbing, or descending, and is stable enough when at the top to be able to not have to hang on for dear life while working from it, I would thoroughly recommend this ladder, the automatic stabiliser feet are a great addition because when closed it is still relatively small for storing, unlike my multi purpose steps which have feet extended all the time which makes the ladder more than a foot wider at the base, all around a great purchase, which I will be making a lot of use out of.
