This is a totally brilliant 2 metre extension lead. If you shove the plug on the end of the lead into a 13A wall socket, an exciting little green light lights up to indicate that you can get electricity out of any of the four sockets on the unit. If this informative light doesn't light up, go back to the wall socket and flip the switch to "on" otherwise electricity cannot be obtained from any of the sockets on the unit and whatever you wish to power-up will remain unpowered and unresponsive. This is my 149th review on this site, and I still haven't won a voucher, however, whilst I am running short of money, I am still rich in irony to dispense with unstinting generosity to all who choose to read my sagacious and insightful reviews.
Apparently, it is surge protected too, but I cannot honestly say whether any surges have occurred during the times I have used it. However, having some degree of surge protection is probably worth paying minimal extra cost.
Summarized, this fantastic device is ideal for where you wish to get electricity 2m further than the lead of whatever you wish to power-up will reach. What else can one ask of a 4-gang 2m extension lead???

If you need electricity where you haven’t got amy, why not go for this? If you need electricity slightly further away remember to get the longer one.
Description quite clearly states that the plug is changeable, even shows a photo of the plug with the necessary screws to remove the plug. However it isn't changeable it's moulded. A review from 4mths ago also mentions this. It's not a changeable one so you can't 'Simply remove the plug, pass the cable through and reattach it.' It was one of the reasons that I bought it, so with wire cutters and a spare plug managed to sort it. Other than that it is just another extension lead. Not really that happy, hence the 3*s

Needed new one. A good replacement and safer with surge protection
Previous 2m socket had 2m of cable but I purchased 2 and they came short at 1.9m, meaning they didn’t reach like the old one. Probably not an issue for most, but need to be aware that the length is shorter than it should be.

Good quality, strong but lightweight extension lead, I would recommend this product if it is the length that you require
The extension lead I got had a moulded on plug not a changeable one so be aware of that. I had to cut the moulded plug off so I could feed the cable through a small gap I needed it to go through. Other than that it was fine.
