I am very pleased with this heavy chunky glossy gold door chain. It's a top quality product.
The only downside is the screws are too short (the chrome one I am replacing has screws thst are 4 x longer). It doesn't make sense to have such short screws for a heavy duty item. I just replaced this items screws with my old ones.
All in all, an excellent quality product at a great price
Good strong chain. Would have been easy to fit if there had been more flat space on the doorframe. I had to cut away some beading so that there was enough space for the overly-wide top link to allow the door to open and close.
Good quality and looks good. Came with all the fittings.
With so many scams now a days installed to give peace of mind
A strong fitting which gives confidence to the family. As others have said, the upper lip is quite minimal to securely keep the chain tidy. A solution is to use washers but I'm not overly keen in case they affect the solidity of the fitting.
I bought this to fit at my sister in law's house. As she lives alone the added security was just a little more peace of mind for her and it will allow here to leave the door ajar in the hot summer months (if we ever get any of those again) without loss of security.

Heavy duty ,well made ,easy to put up , excellent value.
Nice looking product which was very easy to fit. However the lip on the frame piece provides insufficient space to 'park' the chain when not in use. Problem overcome by increasing park space by using spacers - washers. Nevertheless good value for the price.
A good quality product, sturdy bracket and chain that anchors securely to door with four screws.
Very robust product & feel safer
Most doors now are UPVC Double Glazed, yet these come with screws for timber doors so you have to go and buy Jack nuts and Jack screws so you can fit them, not happy at all should have a choice at least of the type of fittings needed.
Easy to fit and very secure, looks good too.......
