For the price it’s amazing really great for hedges and bushes
Shorter than I had expected, and heavier to use than my old trimmer. A bit confusing when the advertising talks about 'Maximum reach" This of course depends on how tall a person is, and does not refer to the distance you can reach across the top of a hedge.
This is too feeble, heavy and unwieldy for normal hedge trimming use. I had a proper workout using this thing. The angled head is awkward to use for anything but the lightest of bushes. It is not handy at all and I regret buying it.
These same criticisms would apply to any other manufacturers product that are similar in design, this is not specific to Stanley.
Overall, I think it is well made and the boom is carbon fibre to keep the weight down.
I will need to buy a corded hedge trimmer to augment this, and use this cordless trimmer for only the most difficult places.
Unfortunately it doesn’t actually extent to 3.25 meters. Very misleading

purchased this particular trimmer as I have an 18v fatmax drill which I have been very pleased with, assuming ,wrongly, that the batteries would be interoperable. The design of the battery shell is only marginally different but enough that they do not fit one another !
Power wise, it is noticeably down on my old (non long reach) Ryobi 36v trimmer, not unexpected with the voltage difference, but more than I had hoped.
Doesn't come with a shoulder strap which might have made it less unwieldy.
Inaccurate description, less than 2m reach - does not extend- immediately returned, total waste of time
Worked really well on my large hedge- easy to assemble and good clean cutting action.
