A good conversion from halogen to LED
Bought 21 of these to convert MR16 to GU10 bulbs and removing transformers in the process. Changed two so far and will do the remainder as the MR16 bulbs blow. Much cheaper than replacing whole lighting unit
I wanted to replace my old MR16 bulbs to LED MR16 bulbs to be more cost efficient and a little bit green I suppose, but I found that I needed a LED transformer which was going to be an extra cost as the replacement LED bulbs started flickering. This got me thinking as I wanted more light and smart bulbs, so I opted for GU10 smart LED bulbs (not Philips as too expensive. These lampholders were great as they easily converted my wiring by removing the transformer.
The wiring block on these is useless, the cover won’t fit if you have two cables terminated an the cable clamp is too small so that won’t work either. Had to cut the black plastic cover to get it to fit once terminated. Rubbish.
