Great bit of kit Pocket sized & easy to use 3 lights good otherwise investigate No sound but no problem for me
I needed to find two wrongly wired but still functional sockets which failed an EICR test among fifteen. This enabled me to find them fast, rewire them and save a load of money.
Simply to use and reassuring when you are unsure if you dislodged a wire.
Looked at a video testing a few socket testers, expensive to cheap.
The cheapest worked just as good as the expensive one's.
That's why I got this one and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.
The tester is simply 3 neon indicators with resisters wired between the L, N and E terminals It cannot detect a missing earth on a ring main when there is a leakage between Live and Earth terminals, which can occur when electrical items are plugged into the part of the ring containing the socket being tested.
Great value item which you just plug in any socket to check for correct volage.
