Brilliant item, good quality fixings job done in no time would recommend this item for anyone wanting to convert single gang to double without having to put a double back box in. Socket face does stick out a little bit more than an ordinary socket to accommodate the wiring but is no problem.
This 1 gang to 2 gang converter is great. I plugged a small electrical item into the left hand side and it was great. I then plugged a small electrical item into the right hand side and it was great. About an hour later I plugged a small electrical item into both the left and right hand side at the same time and it was great. I left them both plugged in while I went food shopping. When I got back I told my wife that I’d forgotten to buy some cress. She just glared at me. What is it with her and cress. Anyway, Im happy with this socket. It’s great.
I ended up with a double socket - fitted and working within minutes. Easy to fit and no mess.

However, as it's Self Fused so complies with current reg And it fits easily replacing a Twin socket, job Done & Dusted within 5 mins. Moment of the Wife's Inspection... "That looks Nice"!!.

The two screws were not properly align making it difficult to screw back to the the pattress.

Ideal to upgrade single socket to double, I used a few of these and prefer them to a different brand at the same price at there main competitor, easy to install apart from locating the screws holes which requires a bend down and a torch sometimes.

It does a job.I wouldn't say it's the most robust socket out there, and the terminals could be a little bigger but it serves a purpose.
First impressions a very good piece of equipment.
Installation was no problem, just had to be careful lining up the securing screws.

The AXIOM leaflets (2 of them) enclosed with the product says it is designed to change a single socket to a twin switched socket.
I ordered a 2 gang to 3 gang switched socket converter and that is what I got after a 2 minute wait in store.
Toolstation got it right with great service as usual.
What is going wrong with AXIOM ?
I have fitted these for some years and it is the safe and easiest way to double your fixed 13A outlets.
Nice piece of kit...installed in a static caravan l.....saved loads of effort cutting out the wall...a nice neat job that took 5 minutes..will buy again
Does the job a one gang to a two gang but as with all fiddly awkward places you find yourself in fitted properly looks the part and does what it should
