Does the job for a beginner, bought to replace a cheap plastic clamp stinger I like it better because I can pull the stick off easier when it sticks 😂😂😂
Do you have difficulty consistently striking and maintaining an arc? Do your welds look awful? Does your rod stick on the metal and drop out of the holder? I had all 3 problems until I realised it was the welding rod wiggling about in the 40 years old clamp type holder!

Bought to replace broken electrode holder on cheap arc welder, found this type makes life a lot easier so would recommend the upgrade over one of the clamp type.
