SIP Meteor Electronic Welding Helmet 2300

Excellent bit of pipe , very adjustable in all aspects, very comfortable. Comes in a bag not box? Not sure why. But it’s deffo worth the price. Massive upgrade on my old nod down manual mask, wels looking better now too.

The screen itself is fantastic and deserves five stars. Really clear when you're not welding, switches instantly as you would hope but you can still see well. The adjustable headband etc is quite uncomfortable and doesn't hold the mask in position very well so deserves a three so averaging out at four. Quite adequate for the price for just occasional use.

Broke down after 3 weeks of using it with the electronic screen not reacting

I think having the switch for charging to grind mode inside the helmet is crazy. You have to take the helmet of to reset it. Quicker changing to a clear visor.

Does exactly what is says on the box - very fast darkening, as the first time I'd tried one of these auto-visors, I would say it really made a huge difference. Comfortable, dead easy to use, simple enough to assemble too.

I'm new to welding and did not want to spend too much on something I probably won't do too often. On paper this helmet certainly covered both my price and functional expectations. In practice they exceeded my expectations. Fun to use and trustworthy.

well it works ish.. i mean it does what is says which is all I hope for now days.. i did find half the functions totally and utterly pointless as i just needed a welding mask for a bit of stick welding.. but hay it was the only option and it did what i needed to do protect my vision and face from spatter and extreme uv protection which makes it perfect for the beach or staring blindly into the sun.. (DONT DO THAT IT WAS A JOKE..)


The bad parts are it scratches very easily and the protective front "glass" is flimsy plastic film which doesn't bode well for survivability especially from a knuckle dragging muppet like myself with the favorite saying "HuLk SmASh!"


so if beware and you will need to treat it with care.. so if you are a welder and are not a heathen like my self it may work for you but give it hugs and kisses it will be fine..

Good range of tint but could do with a diagram for sequence to assemble headstrap pieces

A good all round welding helmet. Comfortable and when lifted off the face it stays in position, unlike my old mask. I've knocked a star off due to the "fiddly" assembly of the helmet. The instructions are not clear and I spent some frustrating time fitting everything together.

Happy with the way it performs, nice and light with a good viewing area and true colour a great bonus.

Easy to assemble and a great helmet for mig welding

This mask was better than I expected. Using it for stick welding. Works absolutely perfect. Makes welding so much easier because you can see what you're doing and then get straight to it without messing around with a mask. Especially handy if you're trying to tack weld two pieces together and have to hold it steady without a clamp. The mask goes on and that's it. Nice and clear and then when you start welding it goes dark to the perfect shade.

Very good this beats the competitor’s (who shall remain nameless) budget welding mask hands down.
The head strap is solid and has a quick release function, it has a nice large clear window. I was chuffed with it.

Very happy with the price and performance balance of this welding mask and it’s reassuring that Tool Station also keep replacement glass shields for when they are required.
