First the good points. The 'true colour' screen is brilliant, compared with my old auto helmet, you can see so much more both when welding and when not. Doing butt welds, I found I had been veering off the line - not a problem with this helmet because you can see the line much more clearly. The fan is quiet and well up to the job even on slow speed, the filter is very effective, the battery lasts well so you only need to charge it after a long day.
Bad points. Rubbish design of the helmet means it's really fiddly to put it together. The helmet is far too small so if (like me) you wear glasses for close work, it's an absolute pig to get it over your head with glasses on. Also, the cloth around the helmet gets stuck inside. The screws holding the helmet to the head strap worked loose and fell out - it took ages to find all the bits and put them back together. The on/off/speed control button is tiny and you have to take your gloves off to work it and even them it's difficult with the helmet on.
Yes, it's much cheaper than anything else I could find offering the same features, but with a little bit of thought it could have been so much better.
