Only buy this if you have no space for the vortex 300
I had to return mine as it leaked but I assume this was a one off issue and I replaced it with a vortex 300.
Compared to the 300 the 250 has the following deficiencies
1 I don't believe it has the same level of "vortex" filter based on what's inside the chamber
2 The drainage port is just a nut, on the 300 it is a valve which makes its easy to empty the cartridge in a controlled manner
3 Only one isolation valve is provided in the kit. If there is any pressure in the system then it is a mess to drain it, so you either need to install a second isolation valve or drain the system.
If you don't have the space for the 300 then this is a good option and it did pick up debris for the short time it was installed.
