Bought this magnetic filter to install fir a new build extension with limited boiler space in the utility room.
Well packaged and comes with everything required including its own inlet isolation valve which when fitted under the boiler with its own return isolation valve means a very small amount of water to be drained.
Magnet retracts with a slight pull and open the drain cap job done.

Very compact filter that can easily be mounted in virtually any position, it’s easy to clean the magnet regularly.
I purchased this particular filter for its small size, I had a tight space to fit it into. It looks well made and a quality item. My only concern is the magnet doesn't sit directly in the water flow, rather it sits in a tube in the centre of the filter housing, that tube is sealed against the heating water. This is how you can remove the magnet without flooding as the magnet is sitting in air. But as the magnet is not directly in the water flow and has to work through the central tube, how good it is at collecting particles, only time will tell. Hence only 4 stars, as I have no idea how good it is at the moment.
