Installed to protect outside power circuit but in the case of an issue with the outside circuit, it doesn't trip but the house RCD trips. Test button is working fine.
The RCD comes with a back box, was easy to fit (good screw connections). Its a double pole RCD (not listed in the description)
Does not come with screws to hold the box to the face plate, they are shown in the picture but they are not supplied
Quite good, and has decent cable entries like the old MK sockets. However, it burnt out after about 10 years use, during which it was rarely tripped, but did have an electric heater current going through it in winters

Installed this with 2 armoured cable glands entering for garden projects . Tripped as soon as power added. I know.my circuit was good so disconnect load and just had feed . Tripped everytime supply on. Not impressed. Got damaged box now oh and brass earth stud fell of back... Avoid
Happy that the design has not changed, straight swap for one installed 5 years ago!!!
