I tried it generously as it said on the tin. No change in the iron utensil and the rust was As Is

Good stuff! Rust removal so was so easy with this product. My only negative point, is it would work better if it a was thicker consistency.

I’m not convinced this Rustins rust remover is as good as the last bottle I bought maybe 20 years ago, but it seems to have done the job. Definitely caused fizzing where the rust was and that can only mean it did something to the rust. I guess in an age where so many effective products have been pulled due to environmental concerns, this is probably as good as you’ll find today on the open market.
I wanted to remove some corrosion and other horrible bits of stuff that had stuck itself to some old Dinky models that I wanted to restore, without having to rub everyone down. This stuff did a wonderful job in only a few minutes. I'll be adding it to my list of permanent model restoration needs

My wife located three 1960's packing crate metal plates from an engineering company her brother did his apprenticeship with in Dursley, Gloucestershire
I used Rustins Rust Remover to renovate the plates which proved to be a very well received birthday present - brother in law has now fixed to fix workshop wall.
