I have bought a number of Roughneck tools in the past, including a mini sledge and a number of stone chisels and bolsters. I have always found the quality of the tools excellent and this 8 lb sledge hammer is no exception. It's ideal for the work I'm doing at the moment (hedge-laying), with enougn grunt to get the stakes well in and to do some tweaking on the pleachers but it isn't so heavy that I have a job handling it. It's a very good tool, well made and thoughtfully designed, and I'm very pleased with it.
