The Roughneck 2.7kg Sledge Hammer represents the entry point into full-sized sledge hammers, offering substantial striking force with manageable weight for extended use. This variant is ideal for general demolition work, driving stakes, breaking concrete and masonry tasks where controlled power is required. Manufactured from drop-forged alloy steel that's been hardened and tempered, the hammer head features precision milled 8-sided faces with 45-degree chamfers for accurate, effective strikes. The full-length fibreglass handle (890mm–915mm depending on head weight) provides excellent leverage and swing momentum whilst remaining lighter and more shock-absorbent than traditional wooden handles. The solid core fibreglass construction is bonded with industrial grade epoxy for exceptional strength and longevity. A polypropylene cover protects the handle whilst the double injected TPR soft grip delivers superior comfort and control, reducing hand fatigue during demanding tasks. Integral overstrike protection guards the handle against damage from missed strikes, extending the tool's working life.
