Gave this a 3 as i couldnt actually use it. It doesnt state that it isnt compatible with a sky q box which is why i bought it forbox behind the tv.
Good product but be aware the output cable (from unit to TV) a little shorter than is typical.

Used to change sky channel in another room where I have a second tv connected via hdmi from a splitter. I needed to run a cable from sky hd+ box rf2 output (coax male) to the magic eye (f plug female). The cable therefore needed to be coax female to f plug male. I actually used a f plug male to f plug male cable, with an adapter. The sky box rf2 output needs turning on, and it powers the magic eye.
Would have been ideal if I was using it through the sky box but wanted it fo my bedroom through the Ariel
I wanted to control a sky box which is to be enclosed in a cupboard and which would not work because the cupboard doors stopped the signal. I also bought another item to go with this which plugged into the sky box I/O socket called a Proception RF port replicator Sky I/O link (52944). Both worked well together and the sky box would now work with the remote via the IR eye. Also don’t forget to get a satellite lead F plug to F plug (97942) which is 2m long. Their competitor (SF) to a lead 5m long (39644). Also do not forget to turn on the RF output on the sky box, google turn on RF output in sky box and the instructions on how to do it are there.
Absolutely brilliant I can now change channel on my sky tv in my bedroom. So easy to install it literally took less than 10 minutes. If you don’t have multi room sky but you have used one of the RF outputs to extend sky tv in to another room this is a must have really.
