Lookung at reviews,I'm not the first person to find the heater has been assembled with the wall mounting brackets upside down. It can't be mounted safely like this. I see one person tried mounting it upside down which would mean the control box display and buttons are not visible - so forget that. Maybe it is OK if you use the floor standing feet but I need to fix it to a wall so I have returned it as faulty. ToolStation have been no hassle about this - not their fault.
Nice portable heater Feel warm straight away if not to far away
Brilliant little heater, super lightweight, Cheap to run.
Easy plug and play set up, handy size instant heat. Versatile to move to any location in the house. Ideal for our conservatory at 10m2 and Notably cheaper to run on the electricity bill.
Small and practical. At home, my office is a room of about 12 square metres, and I work from home. When it's around 6-8°C outside at night for a few days, the temperature in the office sometimes drops to 18°C by morning without heating. It's not cold enough to turn the heating on, so this little "gadget" is perfect for such times. It doesn't produce a lot of heat, but in an hour, it warms the air up to 21-22°C, which stays in the room under these weather conditions. It's obviously not suitable for constant heating, but for this kind of small additional heating, it's perfect and cheap to run. I love it.
Have been using it in a small room that is quite draughty and so far doing a great job. Takes a little while to heat up the surroundings but for the amount of energy used, it goes above and beyond. Real test will come in the winter and with more usage will be able to tell the build quality.
Do not buy this product if you want to wall mount it. The screws have to be millimetre perfect for it to sit secure on the wall. And when you eventually get them millimetre perfect then the heater can be slide to one side which then makes it come off the screws. Worst design I have ever come across. Rating this 1 star as I can’t even get it secured properly to be able to switch it on safely.
Good heater with basic heat up and down controls. Don't see the point in the phone app.
Had not used an infrared panel heater before, so was not sure whether the power output would be enough. Used this one for extra warmth in a centrally heated room where the standard radiator wasn't working properly. Didn't take the stickers off it for ages but had no trouble peeling them off after it had been used daily for weeks over the winter. Attached the feet so could use it portably - overall, a great buy.
These are great value heaters especially for small rooms as they are very economical getting up to temperature very quickly then regulating themselves to maintain the same heat... It's brilliant being able to control it remotely as well, even when not in the building via a smartphone
Just as it states in the booklet. Well packed and a good clear instructions booklet.
When it worked it was good but it was very unreliable and eventually had to be returned as the control box stopped working altogether
This is a light weight heater, I have mine fixed to a wall. It gives out heat as if it were a sunny day. Ideal for what I need, and cheap to run. Only down side there is no residual heat when it turns off, but then i knew this when I purchased it. Easy to operate from my phone.
It's a great device! I love being able to switch it on from my phone before I go out to the workshop, and setting up a schedule with prescsribed timings and heat level so that I don't have to remember... heats my 10x8 workshop enough to make it viable in winter.... The brackets for mounting were a bit confusing as the stickers make it look upside down when you mount it the correct way up for the brackets to be safe.. no biggie though, I took the stickers off.. Overall, love it and would happily buy another.
Absolutely brilliant purchase. Saving us massively on heating costs. Have recommended to so many friends
Easy to put together. Light weight to move around. Easy to set timing and temperature. Feels flimsy.
It's purpose is to warm up objects in front of it, like a person but it also works like a low powered radiator so it takes a long time to heat a small room but then it works before the room warms up if you are in the room and it is pointing at you. Cheap to run and a more comfortable heat than a fan heater.
Disappointed in this radiator.. It gets very hot at the panel but does not heat the space around it
Bad product. Only delivers heat if you are standing at very short distance in front of it. Would not recommend
I bought this to heat my little (20m3) study if I am working from home on my own and don’t want to turn the heating in the whole house on.
Unfortunately the unit doesn’t do what it says on the tin in any way, shape or form: the thermostat thermometer was 3 degrees out compared to my calibrated digital thermometer, I had to be within 50cm of it to feel any kind of warmth, and in the 2 hours it was on it didn’t increase the temperature in my study at all.
I have to say that Toolstation were brilliant. I phoned them to let them know I was dissatisfied, they emailed me a returns label and arranged for the heater to be collected from my house by a courier.
I can’t be sure whether it was just my heater which was faulty or whether none of them is up to the job, but the customer services lady I spoke to said the warehouse would test it for faults once it arrived back with them.
