Terrible latch. The latch returns beyond the plate and sticks. The spring mechanism also feels awful, not smooth. Also, I think the 'brass' screws are gold painted chocolate. One snapped in the door without excessive tightening. Maybe I just got a duff one. Toolstation refunded with no hassle.

This is a great value and good quality door latch for your internal doors. My old latches were failing and did not fully retract and kept on catching on the strike plate. I swapped them out for these and I'm very happy with them. Recommended.

Yes this is a door latch that does what it's supposed to do. Nice finish on the visible parts.
Bought this as a replacement for an original eclipse fitting. Expected then it to be a straight swap. Almost but not quite. The description only gives you the overall length but ignores the fact that the back check can be different. The back check size needs to be shown in the description. Not just for this latch.
