all good, did the job, would use again, easy to apply
Used three coats of this varnish on stripped back and unstained oak dining table with a 5cm brush. Stirred well, at least 2-3 minutes, based on other reviews and found it to come up 99.9% satin as expected. Knocked a star off as each layer definitely had some minor streaks that came up glossy despite the stirring.
It's still clearly drying 48 hours later as fumes can be smelled. Totally usable 24 hours after final coat but still being careful with pressure and heat. Ventilation is essential! Totally got a headache even with the door open.
Colour comes up as expected for varnished oak.
satin finish, came out a little darker than i wished was hoping door would be same colour , but easy to use and pleased overall. will definitely protect door from grubby prints.
I had some beach I needed to varnish and after trying water based varnishes from two manufacturers I had to revert to this to get a decent finish.
Does what a varnish should do, and made an unfinished oak door look finished. Stir well, and the result is a slight sheen only. Brings out the grain nicely without darkening. Applied two thorough coats
I didn't mix it up like an idiot and it set glossy. Quick sand and the second coat was perfect.
Good quality finish with a fast drying time.,..........
Dries slightly darker than expected, but looks good and happy with the result.
Disappointed it takes couple weeks to dry , nice Matt finish but not durable not recommending
Excellent product, followed the instructions and revived a 15 year old oak table making it look like new. Varnish added depth to the wood grain bringing it back to its original colour. Well pleased.
Fantastic product, great finish. A tip always stir thoroughly otherwise the satin finish is more gloss.
Decent finish, easy to apply. It's hard wearing as 2ell
Used this for more than 15 years. It is tough and durable.
Great product, goes on well and looks lovely. Used on internal oak doors.
An excellent product. It provides a surface which is impervious to water and heat damage. It covers well and 2 coats over a sanding sealer provides a surface that lasted for years.
Good value, good quality, does what it says on the tin ( and not anothet brand!)
Used a paint roller and rubbed down between coats to get a smooth finish.
Using this to seal and waterproof vinyl tiling round a sink works very well but (just like it warns on the tin) it has a faint amber colour. I'm more than happy with the result, and two coats seem more than adequate.
Does job well, but have to stir before every use to have satin not gloss finish
Works well with a brush or gloss roller, This is an oil based varnish to make sure of your ventilation
