So far so good. I have installed this cable but not terminated it yet. As other have also said, it is more robust than Cat6 cable available elsewhere, which I pulled out and replace with this.
Details on the Toolstation website are sparse, but more info is available on the Pitacs site, under CAT6 High Speed UTP PVC Data Cable
Perfect for running a full cctv and sharing my Internet connection via a network switch
I've used about half of the 100m drum in the past couple of weeks and have made off goodness knows how many plugs - all without a single failure (bar one where I fitted a plug upside down but that isn't the cable's fault!). Seems very good quality cable and I would be happy to buy another drum in the future. One point worth noting is that this product is quite a bit thicker and stiffer than Cat 5e cable so when planning a run you have to allow for a somewhat larger bend radius and more room in trunking.
Its a really good value for money to use with home security system and network cabling
It's internal use for security system /cameras so good product but not what I needed
Good cable, outer jacket tougher than some competitors so made it easy to install. Also a good price for 100m and immediately available from Toolstation so no need to order and wait for delivery
Used to run cables around the house to hardwire the internet in every room during a rewire. Easy to use and to pull through the walls.
Good quality cable, was easy to lay and wasn't still at all. I have laid 70m far and seem to be fine.
Good product great price. Hassle free order and collection
Great wire, value for money and easy to use and install
Seems reasonably sturdy - the sheathing didn't strip excessively when pulling through ceilngs and holes in walls. Terminated without any problems.
Easy to lay as it was quite ridged which helped run
Good quality, 26AWG, great for cat 6. Plus it has the plastic central core to keep interference to a minimum
Great, quick service, as I needed this urgently and was able to order it for click and collect in less than an hour.
This doesn’t clearly say that it is solid copper which means you have to search the internet for the answers.
Also, for saying this is a cat6 cable, it doesn’t have the plastic cross talk shield in it.
Does the job as expected, offering more bandwidth (250MHz) compared to Cat5e, and a better gauge of copper, so more suited for CCTV and PoE applications. However, it is considerably thicker and less pliable than Cat5e, and it is difficult to straighten out when you get to the end of the reel.
Good value cat6 cable. Seems pretty durable and has nice low friction when pulling through joists or conduit.
Very good. Easy to use. As described and would buy again
Good value cabling which provides a consistent signal over longer lengths
