I was replacing a single row of sleepers that act as a step up from the patio onto the lawn area. Whilst I had to dig out small sections of lawn behind each spike to allow for drilling space, it worked well and the spikes held the sleepers solidly in position. Hammered spikes using lump hammer. Need to ensure they stay in line as you drive them in but the spike got through hard stoney ground. Used impact driver with 6.5mm hex head screws. Would recommend.
Work really well. Easy to bang into stony ground.
