It works ... Helps avoid heat damage or worse when working in confined areas with a plumber s torch.
Mat is self supporting being made of a thicker woven material.
Not the cheapest but you can see why when comparing.
Very handy soldering mat. Never quite sure how it’s going to hold up when first using it but can’t fault it at all.
Even managed to fit it round a 22mm pipe to protect the wooden shelves in a customers house.
The solder mat is brilliant but the Exeter branch doesn’t seem to stock as many product as they used too

Just what I needed - small heat proof mat - I actually bought this for protecting perishable components like rubber covers and wiring when I work on cars and need to use heat in a confined area!
Good quality seems very strong and works well the hole in the middle is also useful
Soldering mat, very good to soldering the copper pipe in the close space where is needed to protect the other pipes or around...but keep it in a distance from fire
