Shaver socket. Good for the price and no complaints so far
Easy to fit, works was hoping that as I'd gone for the more expensive option it would not hum, but there is a low hum when something is plugged in.
Can't comment on the product as I received a bag of screws instead. I now need to stay in all day on Tuesday for it to be collected, before this item can be sent Poor out. Not great service!
Always use MK shaver sockets, when they are required for jobs.Cost is more, but quality is there.
Like all MK products - they have a superior feel and look great. Easy to install.
Hums even when no power is being taken. This socket seems to have an internal switch that is turned on when a lead is plugged in. Whenever anything is plugged in the socket hums. I tried this with a shaver lead, (with no shaver attached), and the socket hums even then.

Nicely made but far more expensive than an identical product from Contactum or Knighstbridge
Buzzes! - Before installation check that all screws on the reverse side are tight down. This will help reduce the buzzing, but it will not stop it totally.
Purchased to replace an older socket which created a loud buzz. This MK is virtually silent by comparison and is also suitable for electric toothbrushes (apparently older/standard shaver sockets can eventually burn out due to the constant drain from charging a toothbrush?)
Does exactly what it says and MK is always value for money.
item already used! must have been a return sent back out, toolstaion said they would collect on Monday and replace, as yet nothing! Toolstation are usually great, not on this occasion

Seems to be well made but didn’t expect a low humming sound from a MK product, whenever it’s in use.
Any ideas how to resolve this, or is it a straight return to store for a replacement?
