Good quality box, with rear entry knockout as well as top, bottom and sides
Not compatible with plastic 8 gang faceplate also sold at Tool Station so had to get different back box from TLC as Tool Station doesn’t sell it!!!
These MK metalclad boxes are one of the few that are the correct size to use with Penn Elcom plates for audio-visual installations. Most metalclad boxes tend to be somewhat smaller than standard faceplates resulting in quite an overhang when surface mounted.
As described on the advert, did what it said it should.
Good, but the box is shallow. It's desirable the box to be deeper at least 50mm.
Excellent bit of kit, not to mention that it was available in stock, for collection in fifteen minutes, at the store just down the road. After we had ordered the wrong thing elsewhere, this came in very handy indeed. The product itself is as it should be: The expected strength and whatnot that one would think MK's metalclad range would be, so no surprises there.
I used this for a double socket back box as I didn’t want to use a white box with a silver socket

Its the usual good quality MK back box, matches those sold with the MK metalclad sockets so everything looks in keeping.
