I bought this and although the picture shows a socket and back box it only came as a socket. The back box was not included.
I nearly always buy MK products. OK, they usually cost more, but the higher quality is immediately obvious.
The MK metal clad range always looks the part . Smart and sturdy . Have used MK metal clad for 40+ years always rugged and usually reliable . The switches on these double sockets have a bit of a dull / lazy action hopefully they will loosen up with use and have a more positive switching action .
Great product. I am an electrical engineer and have used MK all my life. They certainly are not the cheapest but generally they last and that makes them good value in the long run.
Great boxes and easy to fit.
Much better than the alternative ones.
Excellent product, bought to replace old, and damaged , plastic boxes and switches.
Additional quality of MK at a v reasonable price - over a quid cheaper at Tool Station compared to other sellers!
MK quality - nice rounded corners - easy to access terminals
Normal good quality upto their usually good standard I’ve no problem with this make
Really solid hefty build quality, much nicer finish that your usual metal clad sockets.
I bought this to fit in my garage . I chose MK as it is my normal go to brand because of past quality and reliability . I could of bought something cheaper that would have done the same job but this just oozes quality , in fact its looks too good to be in the garage . But thats where I am sure it will be till I am no longer here to use it .
Good quality, rounded shoulders . Box is nicer construction than cheaper versions
Better quality and finish than the generic boxes you usually encounter.
I've been using MK switches, socket and plugs for over 45 years - never buy anything else.
The quality and reliability have remained over the years.
Just bought this one to replace the MK one in my garage that was at least 40 years old, so, you see, even the best wear out eventually!!!
As all MK Excellent quality does what it says on the tin, easy fitting
Good price and well made. Punchouts remove easily and terminals are well made
Wiring the garage for a workshop. Easier to wire than cheaper metal clad, and better quality so worth paying the extra.
I bought this to extend the number of sockets in my garage and where I consider the need for a more robust product I have always chosen MK. However, this one didn’t have that solid feel. The external rocker switch didn’t give me any reassuring click. One of the internal connections within the plastic housing was a little lose and moved around making it difficult to tighten the screw. It just felt that the quality has dropped at MK. Lastly, why don’t they supply a grommet to seal the incoming cable?
Very tidy and smart socket. Only negative is the cable screws are very stiff and difficult to turn to secure cable. Very easy for driver to burr the edges
