This is the second Mira flight shower tray I have recently bought. The previous one was purchased from another supplier and for a different bathroom. Unfortunately though, I have had the same issue with this one, as the previous, so I was more prepared for disappointment.
Obviously I like the quality of the tray and it's what you would expect from Mira, however, they do seem to have an issue with the finishing quality of the underside of the waste interface. The first one I bought from the other supplier, I sent straight back as there was very little chance of ever obtaining a decent seal between the waste and the tray. The replacement tray was little better, but in the interests of time, I decided to rectify the issue myself by using a diamond tile cutting disc on a four inch grinder. This allowed me to gently smooth out the terribly rough underside so that a decent seal could be achieved. So when the Mira Flight tray from Tool station arrived, I was already prepared for the same issue and unfortunately I wasn't surprised. The tray has yet to be fitted, but when it is, I should have a fighting chance of getting a seal. I will attach an image of how the tray looked when delivered. They obviously have a go at grinding it down prior to leaving production, but it leaves a lot to be desired.
