fantastic tools. i struggled all day to remove a bolt and with these it took me less than 5 minutes .
Seized brake caliper nut rounded. Used the nut remover problem solved in 20 seconds. Great item
Started rounding 15mm Brake Caliper bolts and couldn't undo! Bought this set, tapped socket onto nut, used a large spanner on the end of the wrench, hey presto, it started to move. I think the bolt hadn't been moved in 20 years. Just got to get some new bolts.
I originally bought this set to remove a suspension arm bolt, that the head had rounded off. It worked a treat :-) I've just now removed a 2 inch long female torx bolt where the torx profile rounded out. The 13mm gripped the outside of the bolt head, enough to free the bolt :-)
These got me out a problem. Rounded bolt on a suspension arm..this was a last ditch attempt..and they worked! Grabbed hold of the bolt and got me out a pickle
Sorry it’s negative but on the day I picked up the nut removal kit I just happened to open up the plastic carry case at the counter and found one appeared to have been used and was broken in half ? Well obviously I gave it back to your staff asked if I wanted a replacement I said no thank you I will have a refund please.
Did the job, the case was a nice touch. Easy to use and its a good price.
Did the job perfectly. Had a rounded head on a calliper bolt. Hammered the socket on with a mallet, put a breaker bar on it with a 19mm socket on, applied pressure slowly and gently and the bolt came undone. I have a bolt lodged in the socket now, need to get that out, but that's a problem for another day. Fixed the problem I had
I was dubious given the state of the bolt head in question but it worked. I was really glad it worked as it was the last one holding on a gearbox and there was no access for an angle grinder.
Broke in half at first go. Returned for a refund. Not fit for purpose
Poor quality large one cracked in half first time out
Very disappointed product didnot work. Absolute waste of money. As soon as I began to turn ratchet the metal in the extractor socket started to break up.
I had a stubborn 15mm stud on my Smart car wheel, several sockets were broken, thus rounding the head in the process, asthestud head was so damaged, the 14mm tool, once hammered on, locked up tight and duly did the job. Nice little tool have in the armoury.
I needed to remove an M6 socket head screw which had corroded into an aluminium cylinder block and may also have been fixed with Locktite. The socket had been rounded and there was little room to get conventional tools on it. The smallest 10mm nut remover was a good fit and easily gripped the screw head and with a little effort released the screw. A very useful tool to have if you are into repairing or restoring old engines. Not likely to be an everyday tool but a godsend when you do need it.
This removing nut worked well and I was able to get the nut out after for re-use..Im not sure how many locking wheel nuts you could remove before damage to the nut prevents further use. No real instruction but as long as you get them off is probably all that matters.
Having used a similar kit on 14mm corroded brake carrier bolts, I wasn't surprised when it easily removed a rounded 16mm exhaust carrier bolt. Brilliant piece of kit, reasonably priced.
good bit of kit, works well, saved a lot of time messing around
Didn't do what I wanted it to, but that's because the nut was so mangled, it had to be drilled out. They held up well though through hours of my attempts!
Brought for a 16mm suspension bolt that what rusted and battered my breaker bar had rounded it off used the m16 sized one 600mn though an impact gun and ripped the bolt right out the fact the set cost me £15 and it managed to rip out the most seized bolt ever deserves 5*
I have a wood chipper machine and I needed to change the blade, however the fixing bolts are quite shallow and I had 1 stubborn bolt that just would not budge. After spending considerable time trying to remove I bought this bolt remover kit hoping it would do the job. I tapped the 5/8 remover onto the bolt head and removed the bolt in minutes using my impact wrench. Fantastic piece of kit.
