The tool performs well in stripping cable outer sheath. It not that great at stripping the cable cores.
Excellent product well made and easy to use. Hopefully it lasts
Brought for a new lighting job terminating spot lights
Good product for a good price, can't find any fault with them.
work really well, make wire stripping so easy would recommend.
Useless, cheap and flimsy. Snapped on second use stripping 2.5mm T&E. Stanley FatMax is better, but probably best sticking with the side cutters and stripping using the CPC.
They are well worth the money and cheaper from Toolstation than other suppliers. Excellent job, tool station.
Excellent quality product at an affordable price, makes quick work of the job.
It’s good, but not great. It often slips when trimming wire insulation, though it works fine most of the time. I might consider buying it again though.
For the price I’ve found these strippers to be alright for light to medium wires but thicker cables need side cutters to start the cutting process. Overall, cheap price but don’t expect high quality tools.
It’s not very good quality I start using and second day stop stripping even 2.5 cable
This wire stripper is not well made it stopped working properly after a little use
Problems stripping 1.5mm twin/earth cable. Constantly slipped over casing, no matter the setting. Very frustrating.
Rubbish cheap tool. Proved to be of limited use and limited life. Red plastic clip keeps being dislocated and dropping out. Gripper fails to grip cord.
Poor quality, did not do a good job of stripping wire, would not buy again
I had high hopes for this automatic wire stripper, but it fell short. The mechanism slips on 2.5 mm twin and earth gauge wires, and the grip alignment is inconsistent. Feels flimsy and struggles with clean cuts. Okay for occasional DIY use, but not reliable enough for regular work. Wouldn’t recommend for professionals.
These wire strippers are a great buy for using on multicore cables and instrument cables I was working on a chemical site when the old faithfuls gave up and left me stranded they’d definitely earned their money at £70 so with a quick hop in the van to the local tool station I purchased these at such a low cost of around £12 ish I wasn’t holding much hope but eureka the job can continue they are so quick and easy excellent product
I wouldn't recommend this for anything more than very occasional use. I grabbed this as short term replacement because my usual one was at the other end of the country, it did the job but only just, needed constant readjustment of the tension/pressure, after a few hours working on a project there are already visible nics in the cutting blade. All this and only working on <2.5mm cable. Honestly, good luck to anyone trying to use this on 4 or 6mm which is what the spec says this can handle ...
An excellent bit of kit. Well made and easy to use.
Good but I have had better albeit more expensive strippers
