Drilling with an impact wrench enables drilling holes with less effort, facilitating one hand drilling, above head height drilling and drilling up ladders with reduced risk of injury. The special zone hardening process ensures an extra hard shank and durable tip, all the while maintaining a perfectly flexible bit body. The new innovative MILWAUKEE® Through-Center head geometry with the lead cutting edge aligns perfectly with the centre of the feed screw, ensuring efficient chip removal and allows for continuous feeding. The product features a 20° rake angle of the lead cutting edge which effectively creates a path for easy chip ejection. Its polished and powder-coated flute design produces a non-stick surface for increased chip ejection, reduced chip clogging, and wielding a higher self-feeding capability. The clever design leaves no milling marks, indeed a smooth surface, whilst the Lewis flute with a large, wide throat design allows for rapid chip removal. The Milwaukee Impact Auger Bits also comes with sharp ground cutting lips for smooth clean holes that can be resharpened. A noteworthy point for our glomar professionals is that to fit the 7/16″ shank into square drive ½″ impact wrenches, an adaptor 48660061 is required. This product proves no limits with its suitability for hard & soft wood, wet & treated wood, plywood, chipboard, WPC (wood plastic composite), laminated beams and panels, exotic and hard woods e.g. bongossi, iroko, teak, beech, oak, etc. |
