Seems well made and not prone to rust. Bolt is a little loose but it functions well.

I have come to expect quality and value from Toolstation, but when I picked this door bolt up, I was absolutely delighted with the quality and robustness, and at the price I paid it is brilliant, it is far better than what I expected at the price I paid.
As "medium duty" its robustness appears fine however the main bolt has a kink in it at the end where the hook is fitted. Given the thickness of the bolt, this must have occurred during the manufacturing process. The supplied screws are of poor quality and require a flathead screwdriver so I used my own. The supplied bolts are actually 1/4" ones not M6 which is surprising nowadays. However, the heads are too large to sit flat on the hook plate: tightening up the bolts starts to flatten out the curve at the base of the hook on each side! Result is that the heads stick out exposing the square part just under the head. Given that the whole assembly could be quite easily crowbarred off the garden shed door in seconds due to the flimsiness of today's wood, the end result is satisfactory as a sturdy enough deterrent to anyone not "going equipped!
Good quality bolt for any applications. Comes with coach bolts and nuts, but does not come with any screws. All the construction is metal, so if you planning to use it outdoors give it some sort of paint protection, otherwise it will rust over time.
It is a decent-sized sturdy bolt that holds my gate shut.
There is enough play so you don't need to be 100% precise lining it up - but not enough play to make it sloppy. There are enough holes to give you a reasonable chance of fitting it to a variety of structures. The supplied slotted screws are a little cheap - but I pre-drilled the holes and used a steel screw to cut a thread so I didn't chew the heads off.
