DIY & first time encountering 1940's iron pipework.. This convertor fits the iron soil pipe and then allows a 'normal' 110mm plastic fitting. Push fit. Easy.
Good product that fit well and sealed the inside perfectly.
Just the part I needed to connect in a new soil pipe - seems to have fitted well.
I used this to connect plastic 110 pipe to a damaged earthenware soil pipe. I found it easier to first remove the flexible seal and fit that into the damaged pipe, smear it with silicon grease and push the hard plastic section into it easily.
Just an ordinary coupling, what else can you say? Other than it does the job at reasonable cost.
This connector completely solved a problem we had with the fall on a long soil pipe. By using it we were able yo achieve a 100mm (4") drop where before there was barely any fall at all.
This left sewage sitting in the pipe. The quality of the connector is excellent and it was easy to fit. Often in plumbing matters you are working in restricted space with very little room for fittings. This connector worked where nothing else could without digging up a solid concrete floor. I would highly recommend it.
Good quality but expensive, as most of McAlpine stuff seems to be. Used this in a wet room floor running up to the drain gulley - worked a treat.
Good product save me a bit of time
Great piece very easy to use
I bought this to connect some new plastic pipework to the existing clay pipework and it worked a treat.
I bought this last week after looking online for this type of part. Toolstation not only had it in stock, but it was cheaper than elsewhere. Very pleased.
