McAlpine Chrome Plated Plastic 75mm Water Seal Adjustable Inlet Bottle Trap with 1½" Multifit Compression Outlet to suit all plastic, copper and lead pipe.
The moulded internal sleeve of the connection, centres and supports the pipe. The Multifit and friction washers ensure a secure seal is made between the pipe and the wall of the fitting. When the compression nut is turned hand tight the best possible mechanical joint is complete.
Adjustable Inlet makes trap suitable for all domestic repair, maintenance and improvement work.
Manufactured in polypropylene.

This is a good looking chrome coated plastic fitting it replaced a previous metal bottle trap which blocked every three months due to poor design which trapped the hair. This can be cleaned without replumbing!! Easy to install with basic DIY know how.

Needed trap for counter top basin and wanted chrome finnish as visable in situ. Seems expensive as constructed from plastic and chromed brass ones are available at similar price, but this had the correct dimensions and configuration for my needs. Very easy to fit to plastic compression fittings and although basin nut seemed a loose fit there has been no leaks. Happy with appearance and ease of fit.
It is a plastic chrome finish but not the solid metal chrome finish which I was replacing so a little disappointed. The price was more than I was expecting to pay, however the fitting was straight forward.

Good quality bottle trap and easy to fit. The description wasn't clear that it's plastic not metal, but I'm not bothered by that - makes it lighter anyway! Decent value - compares well with others.
I ended up taking this back as it felt very plastic and was quite expensive for what it was. I replaced it with a metal chromed one.
Expensive for what it is which is chrome plated plastic, functionally this would be 5 stars but the chrome pipe into the waste I was connecting to was slightly too large so I was unable to use.
Good product, easy to fit. Replaced a metal one that had sprung a leak. Best value locally and able to collect quickly as in stock.

Very good quality bottle trap. Chrome finish is done well and I expect it will look good for many years. Mcalpine make good quality fittings and this one is exactly as you'd expect. It fitted on to the existing brass waste pipe fine as well. The silver finish matches the existing taps nicely.
Looks cheapish but it is only cheap to buy so not a big concern. Works as it should.
I needed an adjustable bottle trap to plumb a newly installed sink to an existing drain outlet and this was an excellent choice. The quality is very good for a chrome plated plastic item and it also looks good. The connections are good quality and leak free. I would definitely recommend this item.
