heavier than I realised- so probably a better site tool .
Smooth cutting, robust machine. Good price
nothing is perfect, must say that I have no complains though. Not given proper workout yet.
Nice smooth action and quieter than my previous jigsaws.
I love it!
It’s a great jigsaw had one for over twenty years and bought a new one I liked it that much
Great piece of kit. Built solid and has great power so it hasn’t seemed to struggle with a cut yet. Even on 25mm MDF.
clear plastic part fell off within seconds, i would have bought a de-walt jigsaw but toolstation didnt have it in stock so reluctantly had to get this. I dont care for makita products anymore as they have got poorer quality over the years. its an ok jigsaw. This gets very hot after a few minutes work, I fear for the worst with this saw.
Excellent bit of kit. Like the proverbial knife through butter
Good jigsaw, happy with the performance. This model comes with the light which makes it easier to see what your cutting. On the slow speed setting it left a fairly clean edge.
Excellent quality saw with plenty of power.
A friend of mine saw me use my 28 year old Bosch jigsaw and recommended that I treat myself to a new one. It was very good advice. I usually stick to Bosch gear as it has never let me down but after reading the reviews of the Makita, and knowing that everyone thinks highly of them, I decided to pay out and get this. After all, if it lasts me another 28 years ... actually, that is a scary thought. Anyway, what a fantastic bit of kit. Doesn't jump, blades are easy to change and it cuts brilliantly. If you are after one, do yourself a favour too.
Yeah, nice jigsaw. My old one kept kicking the blade out, this one is typical Makita … well made, does the job and feels like will last a long time.
I love it, it's well weighted and comfortable to hold. Very little vibration. Much nicer to use than my German brand.
Comparing this jigsaw to my original budget model is miles apart. So powerful but with ease of control. Takes on any job with ease and next to no vibration, joy to use.
Robust, flexible and easy to use straight out of the box
Great little jigsaw, a bit heavier than others I have used but very good build quality.
I had a Dewalt saw which was a tiny bit smoother in my opinion. However the blade change was much inferior and in the end failed on me. I got this as an interim intending to strip down the dewalt etc when I had more time. The splinter guard fell out and it hiccups slightly when using a reverse blade. The blade change on the Makita is definitely superior and in general it has a smooth cut.
I had an issue with the cutting but Toolstation replaced it for me and it works fine now.
Really good tool. Well worth paying the extra over the cheaper ones. This model even has a light to help you see the cutting line.
