Still baffled how much I paid for a drill this good. It's Makita. There are no flaws except maybe the operator.
Proper timesaver! Used chisel function for wall and floor tile removal. Also drilled 1" holes through engineering brick with ease. Non tangle cord is great as well. No negatives yet.

Wish I'd bought this drill 2 years ago. I've been removing waist high rock hard cement render from the inside walls of my stone front room by hammer & chisel. I gave up after a couple of months & a builder advised this drill on special offer. I finished the job in 3 hours.
Good sds, powerful and reliable, always had them stolen before they could die.

Lightweight and powerful, very nice tool and well priced
I needed to remove the cement render from our house, I got so far with a hammer and chisel but it was slow going. Decided to get this SDS with a chisel as it was on special offer at Toolstation, wow, the render came off so so so much easier. The wall underneath is a very old slate/stone, and I was aware of potentially damaging the stone so I went carefully, thankfully the drill didn't damage the stone at all. What could have taken days, took just hours instead. Now to rake out re-point the wall in lime instead of re-rendering!
Plagiarising the idea a bit from another review I read as I can't word it better, what used to take 10 frustrating minutes to drill and leave me feeling like a DIY failure I can now do in under 30 seconds with ease. I love this Makita SDS drill.

Needed a decent SDS drill living in a house with granite walls. What a great drill this is, makes easy work of stone walls. Great functions and all at a brilliant price. Given it 4 stars overall because I've not had it long enough to put it through its paces, but I'm sure it will cope with all I throw at it.
Not sure how well the carry-case will hold up being quite brittle plastic, but should be ok (I don't tend to throw these things around!).
