I already have a Makita hedge trimmer with batteries and charger, so the cost of the chainsaw was reduced accordingly. It is as capable as the smaller of my petrol machines on all but thicker wood, having a shorter blade. However, it is a fraction of the weight, so much less tiring and can be easily and safely used one-handed. It is not short of torque for most situations but doesn't produce noticable kick-back. Obviously it is quieter than the petrol machines and is never a problem to start.

Brilliant little saw. So much easier to use than a top handled petrol saw. Of course it isn't quite as powerful, but it's ideal for any pruning you do off the ground. I was really suprised what it could manage. Two batteries is a good idea though.

Handy little saw , cordless so you can take it anywhere, inevitably short run time , so you need a few batteries

A lightweight chainsaw which I have been using one handed to get to the top of my 12 feet hedge.So much safer than the petrol chainsaw that I normally use,well worth the price.
Don't be put off by the size,this machine is really light but cuts through wood with ease,first battery chainsaw I've used,was very good indeed
