This radiator drain off valve is exactly what’s needed to provide neat easy drainage of a central heating circuit.
An excellent valve, well chromed, strong with the addd advantage of a built in drain off which is a bonus when either draining down for removal, or flushing through when sludging oocurs.
These valves are evry bit as good as a mor expensive branded one
Simple installation into the radiator directly with an easy to use release valve to relieve the pressure from your radiator system. Much easier than the previous one I have used.
Good piece of kit fits snug no leaks as expected and good price from tool station
Perfect for new radiator and will act as the drain point
Reliable drain valve which I've used numerous times
Easy to fit first time, no leaks, and good price plus in stock
Worked fine and cheaper than some of the main brands
Fitted several recently without issue
As described good value and works well. Basic plumbing parts.
Made a big difference to the central heating system
OK valve, but would have preferred it if the radiator tail was adjustable in length.
Brought on of these to replace a worn out one does the job
Using these for all downstairs radiators for easy drainage.
Product is well made, however, here is some keg information which I couldn't find until I bought and tested. 1) This will drain the system OR the radiator. Valve open = system, valve closed = just the radiator. So you can install on all radiators, upstairs and downstairs. 2) the tail needs to be inserted using a hex key, there are no flat edges to use a spanner. 3) the tail is slightly shorter than a normal tail by about 1 or 2 cms. If you are replacing an existing lock shield, kept that in mind. 4) once the tail is in the rad, if connects to the lock shield via directly with a rubber seal and a nuf to tighten it. There is no scope for extension etc like you have with a normal lock shield. Hope that all helps.
Good value. Looks good and does what it says. Easy to install.
I have used this type when l initially installed my central heating system, just replaced a 1200 but myson fan convector with a 7000 but double vertical column radiator, as the convector has a couple of lock shield fitted to allow for 10% of the system volume to circulate, l used these lock shields with drains on the replacement radiator, all seems to be functioning well. Just one thing you get get the choice of either white or chrome valve caps......l used a couple of chrome caps l already had.....
Easy to fit worked until I tried to shut off valve . Quick gentle twist ..snap had to get replacement
Had to crank drain really tight to stop it leaking
Very handy for draining a radiator, nly criticism trouble getting the spanner on.
Product as described, easy to install and works well
