Bought as a replacement for existing loft catch that wasn't working. It is identical to the old one so easy to fit.
My large bathroom cabinet doors are at least 35 years old. Turns out that they use this exact latch. Left the old hook in place and simply swapped the spring loaded body. Very cheap, effective and easy replacement.
I last used this design of loft hatch catch thirty years ago and the design has not changed. It is a simple but effective mechanism that secures the loft hatch until a slight upward pressure is applied allowing the hatch to drop downwards. Pushing the hatch back up secures the hatch.
It broke after 2 minutes not happy with it would not get again

Only 3 stars awarded due to the included instructions which related to installing the latch to a cupboard door! OK you could work out how to fit it to a loft hatch after a bit of deliberation but shouldn’t a product marketed for this purpose contain appropriate instructions?
Perfect, old loft catch has worn out over the last 20 odd years. Thought I'd have to replace the lot, but to my surprise the catch on this fitted by existing snub perfectly.
Job done in under 5 minutes.

Simple and easy to install. Used for the loft door.
It works surprising well, even though it feels cheaply made and was a little 'fiddly' to fit. Supplied screws are hopeless.
For me it doesn't work. To get the latch to work you need a 5mm gap. So you either have to set the loft hatch in by 5mm or allow it to sit 5mm below the ceiling. Either way when you open or close a door to the hall way the loft hatch rattles.
Works perfect this replacment latching unit, i do t know how old the one that failed was but it sorted now.

Good quality loft hatch latch,little fiddly to fit due to top screw holes being a bit too snall for the screws, but nothing unsurmountable.
Works as inteneded and wasn't difficult to fit. Took 10 minutes or so.
This was a replacement, like for like. Had many years useage from the latch and does the job well.

It took me a little time to work out the orientation for a loft installation as this unit seems to be designed for cupboard doors but it works perfectly and is way better than the previous turn latch.
Simple to fit and worked straight away and an ideal like for like replacement for the old broken one.
