Very simple and effective but I realised that they are intended to be used as a pair with one at the upper part of the window and one lower down.
The key provide slips in the housing when you try to tighten the lock
Simple window lock. Over priced though for wat it is.

Easy to fit and pull sash in snug.Screws supplied are too short and * phillips not pozi so bin them.
I bought 15 of these for a customer in a Grade II house. I had to vary the fitting position from that recommended to take account of wavy window frames. The house is now secure to the satisfaction of their insurance company.
Fitted this to an oak window. Provides security as advertised. Also enables the window to be pulled tightly closed to reduce any draughts.
