I have just brightened up a lovely old piece of furniture. A lovely glass fronted display cabinet. By adding a small concealed strip light.The LED tubes have lit up the crystal glass and the bottles superbly.
Replaced a 20 year old traditional tube with this LED one. It seems very good and very bright. Toolstation sell this for much less than I could find anywhere else.
This was a straight replacement for a filament bulb which had lasted a very long time. Unclear from trying to find information on-line about a replacement as to whether an LED lamp could be a straight replacement for the 240V original. Based on other people's reviews on here it seemed that it could be and this was confirmed on viewing the packaging of this lamp in store. It might be worth Toolstation making it clear in its description that this can replace a 240V filament bulb?
Otherwise it seemed hard to find a replacement by on-line searching that was a sensible price or wasn't still a filament bulb.
Only other issue was the stated wattage and what it's equivalent was. The lamp being replaced was 60W, whereas this is 4W and a stated equivalence of, I think, 40W? However, in situ this seems bright enough.
Hopefully it lasts as long as the bulb it replaced!
Same light output as previous filament tube, but only 4w consumption instead of 30w, almost certainly with hugely improved durability.

After all other local suppliers could not help with a replacement ,tool station had the items that i couldn't replace anywhere else
I have been very pleased with this excellent Strip light. It is very bright for its size without being glaring and illuminates a fairly large area. I would recommend this light.
